The Rincon Fire Department is gifted with amazing fire service professionals. The Rincon Fire Department is an inclusive employer with a talented workforce. The men and women of the organization are highly motivated, well-educated and loyally focused on their core mission of service to the community.
Our fire department was formed in 2006 as a result of the devastating fires in the region. Since that time, we have added three highly trained paramedics each day to serve our community. This addition has risen the total daily staffing to 10 personnel on duty serving the community every day. In addition, the Rincon Fire Department has enhanced our ISO Rating to an ISO Class 3 and seeks to boost that yet again to an ISO Class 2 within the next 18 months. Serving our community and surrounding communities with a four (4) person paramedic engine company, a four (4) person paramedic truck company and a two (2) person paramedic rescue ambulance, the Rincon Fire Department meets all national standards and best business practiced with a proactive approach to increase overall safety and all risk service.
Our ability to provide all-risk service with professional firefighters on duty 24/7 plays a vital role in emergency response and life safety throughout the entire region serving other reservations, the community of Valley Center and the County of San Diego. We do so by providing full-service fire protection, technical rescue, wilderness search and rescue, fire prevention, emergency preparedness and paramedic services.
The dedicated professionals of the Rincon Fire Department are dedicated first and foremost to guarding the quality of life for the citizens of our community and patrons that visit the Rincon Reservation and the Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians, through an all risk approach to emergency response and the protection of life, property and the environment.
